DocuMatrix celebrates its birthday!

DocuMatrix GmbH celebrated its 25th anniversary this April. The company was founded in 1999 by Josef Gruber with a small team. Today, DocuMatrix is a leading provider of innovative IT solutions. Here you can find out how successful the company has been and what values have accompanied DocuMatrix.

The company was founded by Josef and Andrea Gruber. 25 years later, DocuMatrix is still an owner-managed, regionally connected company with more than 35 employees, branch offices in Switzerland and Vienna as well as national and international customers and partners.

Sustainable growth over 25 years

The output process manager docPIPE was the first product to be launched in 2003. The aim: to monitor the entire output process of companies. This was followed by dmDOC for creating and designing documents and the high-performance formatter docTYPE – complementary products that cleverly solve customers’ problems. Between 2017 and 2021, the product suite was completely reimplemented to meet the latest standards. In 2021, the sons of the founding couple, Markus and Gerhard Gruber, took over the dual management of the company. Since then, DocuMatrix has not only been certified with the ISO 9001 quality management system, but has also obtained the ISO 14001 certificate for environmental management systems.

Important basic values for a stable foundation

Since its foundation, the company has been guided by the values of passion, innovation and expertise. DocuMatrix is passionate about solving even the most challenging problems; the more complex the initial situation, the more exciting the task. For the company, innovation means not only developing software solutions for its customers, but also implementing innovative work concepts for its employees. DocuMatrix has always had its finger on the pulse here and offers a modern working culture with flexible working hours and home office. The company also supports its employees in further training. It is not only because of these values that DocuMatrix is an important employer in the region: the company takes care to keep the value chain in Austria, preferably in the region. This is why the decision was made in 2013 to set up the new headquarters in Einsiedl, Lower Austria, instead of relocating to Vienna. As a result, the company’s employees increasingly come from the neighboring villages, and cooperation with regional companies was also promoted in order to strengthen the location.
